REMOTE LEARNING EXPECTATIONS
Attendance
- In Colorado, school is mandatory for students ages 6-17. During the COVID crisis, DPS is providing remote learning in place of in-person school.
- We understand that this is a challenging time for our students, families and staff and we are asking all members of the DPS community to put forth a good faith effort as we participate in remote learning.
- Examples for attendance include i-ready, google meet sessions, emails, forms, completed daily classwork, contact with families.
Grading
Instead of numerical or letter grades, all ECE-5th grade students’ report cards will have qualitative feedback about how a student has or has not demonstrated understanding of the critical learning for the grading period. There is no punishment for submitting work late, but please encourage your student to pace themselves and submit assignments by Sunday night. If your child is not participating and or not submitting work, we are here for you to problem solve. Please communicate. If there are any problems or your student is struggling, communicate with us during office hours.
