**Vocabulary****discount - The amount by which the regular price of an item is reduced.**

discounted price - The reduced or sale price of an item.

list price - The regular, non-sale price of an item.

percent (%) - Per hundred or out of a hundred. For example, “51% of the students in school are girls” means that 51 out of every 100 students are girls.

repeating decimal - A decimal in which a pattern of one or more digits is repeated indefinitely.

sale price - A discounted price.

terminating decimal - A decimal with a finite number of digits.
